I would like to create a category for Do Follow Blogs. These are blogs that remove the “rel=nofollow” tag from the hypertext links in the comments section.

The advantage of the “do follow” approach is to reward contributors of comments with a link back to their site that will carry some weight in search engine ranking algorithms.

The disadvantage is that you may attract comment spam. So one defense is to moderate the first comment by a new contributor. Then all the comment spam should be blocked by you.

It’s pretty unlikely that somebody will switch from good to bad after their first comment was approved.

You can find plugins to remove the “rel=nofollow” tags if you search for “do follow plugin”.

So please submit your blogs.

I noticed that most site submissions to this directory don’t qualify since they are not following the submission procedure.

After entering your site details, I require you to email me to request inclusion. This is so I can tell if your submission has been done by a robot or a human being that took time to read the text on the submit site page.

If I don’t receive an email, I don’t know you submitted your site until I do a manual check of the database. Also, I have to wonder why you want to remain anonymous.

If there is any technical problem you found when submitting your site, please let me know in the comments.

Welcome to Initial Traffic .com! This site has just launched and we have the basic pages in place to accept new sites for listing on the home page.

Of course, this site is itself a new site but we have a network of external resources to drive links and traffic to this site. so it should not take long to ramp up the traffic.

To get started, simply submit your site. On the submission page you will see our basic rules about acceptable sites.

We are a resource to assist new sites so please don’t submit your established successful site here! You may want to submit new client sites, I guess that should be OK but we are vetting every submission so please don’t waste our time and your’s with spam and sites that go against our terms of submission.

When you submit your site, you will have to email us with your request to be accepted and agree to receive emails from us. This is one way to limit spam, speed up the acceptance process and allow us to contact you with your agreement. You will be able to opt out of communications easily but if you want to use our free service you need to give us something in return right?

Later, I will implement a directory of sites and maybe a voting and click stats system. But for now I just need you guys to kick start this site by submitting your sites and spreading the word.

Thank you for your time,
Andy
